Seasides, Nightlights, Free fries

Many interesting things to discuss of course. Maybe not to most but to some. It's been a bit busy but the mountain of hateful messages piling up from such angry readers is too ominous to ignore after a certain point. Such passionate and devout readers, one and all. Regardless recap is as follows:

We were asked to do some manual labour in the service of Sake (酒 <-the kanji even looks like a jar of the stuff). On the day, it was nice and overcast, a bit damp and drizzly but not altogether cold which is a real blessing. basically we had to carry a float with a person on top of it from one shrine in the end of the town to another shrine about halfway up the town which was a bit of a stretch of a walk when carrying a big fuck off wooden pallet and a human on top. Unfortunately my shoulders were just marginally higher up than the comrades we carried this thing with so i received quite a bit of weight on there

That is pretty much the only exciting news, went down to the big shmoke a few times over the last weeks to display my audio wares; well received? debatable. fun for me? undoubtedly. I enjoy using the good equipment despite the clanging pain in the ears at times. Met a good few new characters, two such people were even kind enough to share their french fries with me, such kindly folk.
On a really nice walk the other night got up a hill and was able to get a peek over the town of takayama and now it is truly no longer winter, thank the good lord. It is a nice feeling to see blue skies, rays of sunlight and non-baltic breezes

Since it was such a summery, tropical day (+17 :P) a few weeks ago, one just had to go for a visit to the beach. Drove quite a few hours to avoid the tolls, and got a lovely view of a monkeys arse at a red light at one point, one of a few wild monkies i've seen so far. You can see them quite a bit on the national roads, going through more isolated areas. They just run across the road, then when they cross look at you as if you're the inconvenience. Regardless, reach the beach and am surprised by quite a well littered beach which is strikingly uncharacteristic for the country. It wasn't the pacific side either so they cannot really claim great garbage patch. Must be some serious currents coming through from somewhere though, entire beach was just driftwood, cans and fishing nets. And fairly windy. The smell of the sea is invigorating though, a real beauty to behold also.
